So, who is this guy?

I'm Justin Lau - a 17-year old with a passion for visual media and design. My goal: to create sleek, professional, and appealing solutions through a visual medium.  I have huge interests in web design, post-production (visual effects and editing), as well as motion graphics.  I use web and video as a way of channeling my creativity into practical and real life application.  I enjoy thinking outside of the box and designing things that are unique and innovative.  I want my work to challenge the status quo and everyday trends of web and video.  Much of my creativity is based upon allowing ideas to grow.  I like starting with a base idea and letting the idea run wild in my imagination; the feeling when you start a project and still have no idea where it will take you.

My interests in video started early on, in grade school. I would create short films in the backyard which, at the time, were "awesome." As the years progressed, I became more serious about the post-production process and interested in the careful science of motion graphics. My interest in web design started a couple years after. However, I didn't start experimenting with the fundamentals of design and didn't realize the scope of creativity that the web offers until the summer of 2009 when I began building a site for my previous endeavor.  Learn more about me from my music taste or musings.
